Prize Winning D!
So last weekend saw another busy one for us with shows booked for both days. Saturday morning saw us heading to Knebworth for the Petrolheadonism live 2023 show, we joined Lord Loxley Sham on his Auto Anonymous stand, always a wide range of cars with this group which is great to see.
We caught up with our friends the Motor Addicts, who were hosting the event, a great trio of guys who really enjoy what they do.
We got to chat with a lot of people again about Project D and as always it created a lot of interest.
Once again we chatted with another parts supplier, and hopefully, we can get something going with them soon, watch this space….
Sunday saw us heading down to Brands Hatch for the Ford Power Live show, one of our favorite events. We had been invited to this by the organizers to appear in the section “Instagram Corner” for which we were honored. Again this is a great event and we met some old friends there and also made some lovely new ones, check out the “Ford South eaST” Facebook group, couldn’t meet a nicer bunch of nutters.
On arrival at Instagram Corner, we found out that there were going to be trophies awarded for the best cars! Now as much as we would have loved to win one we were up against some very strong opposition, mainly a wrapped Focus RS, a wrapped Focus ST and an amazing 5.0 Mustang to name just a few, all the cars in our section were outstanding.
When it came to the awards time we all gathered around the Fresh Official stand. Other awards included Best of Show, and Show and Shine. When it came to our section awards an amazing purple mk6 Fiesta won 3rd place, the 5.0 Mustang coming in second, and then they read out our registration number for 1st place, it took a second to sink in.
Our little project car now winning awards at big car shows, truly humbled!
The trophy was presented to us by the Ford legend that is Rich RS Fox, the owner of probably the most well know Focus in the modified car scene, we were asked if we wanted to say a few words so, of course, we told our unique story again, we can’t thank all those involved that day enough for making it so memorable, the trophy is now proudly displayed at work with the others that we have won.
On the way home we popped into the Bungalow diner to see Scotty from DCUK, and as it happens there was a car meet going on there too, so one weekend saw us at two shows and one car meet. All show videos can be found on our Youtube channel, talking of YouTube, make sure to check out Top Fuel Teachers, new videos uploaded every Friday.
